PHP is the de-facto standard language for web development. It provides a powerful, flexible platform suitable for anything from small database-driven websites to large enterprise applications. In this week long workshop we will introduce the principles of web application development and basic PHP syntax, progressing to developing database-driven web applications - with a focus on good design.
By the end of the course, you will be equipped to take advantage of this powerful set of tools, from constructing the foundations of a dynamic site to building a complete web application.
This course is aimed at delegates with some experience and understanding of HTML (You should be able to produce a basic form in HTML by hand) and programming experience in other languages. Topics covered in the course will include:
