Apache web server security

From: 23/04/2007 10:00

To: 27/04/2007 16:30

Location: OpenAdvantage, Birmingham

Apache is the most successful open source project in existence, with two thirds of all websites globally served from Apache and processed by Apache modules. This course covers how to setup and configure Apache and web-based applications running on top of it, with security as a primary focus. These skills are vital to those companies whose livelihood depends on their ability to present functionality and marketing to a paying audience.

The course addresses the needs of SMEs running their own Apache server installations. Although mainly aimed at system and web administrators running websites under their own aegis, it would also help those who have to make decisions about web service providers and their merits.

By the end of the course, attendees will have a take-home secure Apache installation they will be able to configure and use in a professional setting.

Who should attend?

Managers with a technical background, web administrators and web architects will equally benefit of this course, that presupposes a minimum of Apache configuration expertise. The course does not presuppose knowledge of web security.

This FREE course is open to all individuals in the counties of West Midlands, Warwickshire, Staffordshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Anyone from the public or private sector is eligible.
