Training Course : Web Application Development with PHP and MySQL

PHP is the de-facto standard language for web development. It provides a powerful, flexible platform suitable for anything from small database-driven websites to large enterprise applications. In this week long workshop we will introduce the principles of PHP scripting and basic syntax to developing database-driven web applications, focusing on good design. This course is open to all individuals.

By the end of the course, you will be equipped to take advantage of this powerful set of tools, from constructing the foundations of a dynamic site to building a complete web application.

This course is aimed at delegates with some experience and understanding of HTML and some programming experience. Topics covered in the course will include:

  • Form processing

  • Web application design

  • Connecting PHP to databases

  • Session management

  • Input validation

  • Dealing with errors and debugging code

  • Basic security principles

  • Web page generation

Who should attend?
